Facing the Challenging Climate in 2021

 Ian WrightUK National Sales Manager for Lease UK explains how we continue to support our Partners and Customers during this Covid19 pandemic:

 

At Lease UK we work with businesses in so many different verticals; anywhere from education to engineering; IT to aerospace; hospitality to new state of the art parking solutions for NHS hospitals. For over 25 years our finance solutions have helped manufacturers and dealers to equip British businesses of every type.

 

Without doubt, the sector that has suffered the most since March 2020 has been hospitality. Due to lockdowns throughout the UK, our hotel, pub and restaurant clients have suffered terribly. But we have managed to provide some help thanks to Government-backed CBILS loans. Our sincere hope is that these fantastic businesses will be able to trade freely, and profitably, as soon as possible. None can afford to be closed another summer.

 

Other sectors and markets have proved more resilient. We have seen many of our Partners continue trading throughout, and manufacturing and engineering in particular have continued to provide Lease UK with a steady flow of enquiries.

 

Prior to Covid19, many sales people saw finance solutions as a tool suitable only for smaller, less cash-rich prospects. Many would only offer this alternative way to pay if directly asked by the customer.  The past 9 months has definitely changed this. Now sales people I work with are actively leading with finance. They realise that capital budgets are tighter now than, perhaps, they have ever been before. What better way to present your solution to their problem than with an affordable monthly repayment solution?

 

This is a win-win. The Partner obviously needs to find new orders, so that they can keep paying their employees. Likewise, their Customer needs to keep production going, no matter restrictions to capital budgets. Since the pandemic began, I have handled so many deals where not going ahead would have a devastating effect on production but, even so, the capital budget was not available. Our finance solutions are, very often, the key enabler to a satisfactory outcome for both parties.

 

 At Lease UK our number one goal is to add value, to both our Partners and to their Customers. In this awful pandemic, which has cost so many lives and inflicted so much pain on us all, I am proud that we are able to help – in some small way – our Partners and Customers continue to trade.
