Leadership Team / Co-Founders
Alastair Lawson
Alastair has had a long and distinguished career in leasing. In 1972 he co-founded Lease Management Services Ltd (LMS), which subsequently became a subsidiary of a merchant bank in 1975. Whilst Alastair was managing director (and also a director of the bank), LMS went on to became one of the leading sales-aid leasing companies in the UK. As Lease UK Chairman, Alastair heads our board of directors.
John O’Reilly
John’s career in finance and leasing started in 1979, beginning in collections and then marketing before he found his niche in underwriting, working at Alastair’s former company. John managed new business departments throughout this time, and as Managing Director for Lease UK leads both strategy and operations.

Established in 1995, Lease UK combined the industry experience of our founding director’s with a vision to create a trustworthy and genuinely proactive brokerage. Since then we’ve gone on to see economic booms and busts, a range of different finance providers entering and exiting the market, and industry reform with the advent of the Financial Conduct Authority.
Throughout this we’ve remained a consistent and trusted source of support for businesses; both those we arrange funding for and for the companies who rely on us to help make their products easy to buy.
Our secret to achieving this? We prioritise customer service, long term business relationships and above all else, treating everybody we deal with fairly. By sticking to these values, we aim to help many more businesses across the UK prosper.

Our online proposal system is linked directly to a number of our core finance partners, meaning some facilities can be approved within minutes. Decisions on the majority of proposals come within 24 hours of being submitted.
High approval rates
Thanks to the relationships we’ve built up with a panel of the UK’s leading asset finance providers, we’re able to approve over 86% of all applications. For business introduced via some of our partners, that figure rises to as much as 95%.
