2020 is a Leap Year – 29th February is an extra day occurring every four years, keeping the Gregorian Calendar synchronised with the Solar Year. It is also the last year to take advantage of the higher rate on Annual Investment Allowance – ending on 31st December 2020.
In popular folklore, Mary Queen of Scots issued a royal decree stating that Women could propose on a leap year. However the lady in question should wear a red petticoat to highlight her intention as a pre-warning to her Beau.
