Resolving Weighty Issues!
Earlier this year we had a really interesting opportunity, via a Partner, with a Scottish Council. The Council were looking to finance a Weigh Bridge. The existing Bridge had unexpectedly stopped working and repairs were almost as costly as a replacement, and there were no monies left in the Council’s budget.
Lease UK were able to secure competitive rates within 24 hours of first contact, and the Council returned the signed contracts the next day. Unfortunately, the next week they identified additional costs for site works, and our contact at the Council called to cancel the contract, as they were not able to find this additional money. Lease UK suggested that we look to finance the site works as well. We were able to get the contract amended and re-signed the next day, thus saving the deal and solving our client’s problem.
Both the Council contact and our Supply Partner were agreed that without a finance solution, this deal would not have happened, at least not before the new budget in April.
